Yijian ArchitectsYIJIAN Architects was founded in 2016. With the research background of PhD Partner, YIJIAN has always upheld the purpose of research-based design. YIJIAN believes that each project has its own unique specialty that cannot be copied. Our job is to find the value through research, so that it can become the core competitiveness and sustainable influence of the project.
YIJIAN focuses on the Oriental spatial power, sustainability, and social significance of the project. YIJIAN uses a simple architectural language, showcasing the power of space through its fun and richness, and creating an intellectual beauty. For example, in the Meishan Cultural Complex, the building has a humble and low-key exterior, rich interior space, and creates unexpected surprises. In the renewal of Shantang Street Historical Block, the spatial pattern of historical space is studied and reproduced to showcase the spatial charm of streets, alleys, and courtyards. YIJIAN believes that architecture should not only focus on architectural aesthetics and exquisite details, but also on social issues. The space created by YIJIAN should provide solutions to these social problems. In the Chuntaiyue Rural Elderly Care Apartment, YIJIAN is addressing the increasingly severe issue of aging in China. Provide a third solution that falls between home-based care and elderly care structure. Faced with global climate change, YIJIAN has been actively utilizing sustainable technologies to achieve green sustainability. In the design of Chuntaiwang Rehabilitation Institution, the project adopts German passive room technology to achieve ultra-low energy consumption. In the Post Station Experience Hall, modern wooden structures are used to recreate the charm of traditional Chinese space. In recent years, the design of YIJIAN has been widely recognized. And has won multiple awards, including the German National Design Award, World Architecture Festival, Italy's A ‘design, Germany's ICONIC Innovation Architecture Award, and the Shanghai Institute of Architecture PRO Award. Shantang Street Phase IV Renewal Planning by YI JIAN ARCHITECTS Shantang Street is a cultural street with a history of 1200 years. It has a rich history, while today the neighborhood is dilapidated, overgrown with weeds, with few people, and lacks of vitality. The project is an overall renovation and renewal of the fourth phase of Shantang Street. By the renewal of the old buildings, implanting new commercial activities, and designing public spaces, the neighborhood will be revitalized, and injected with vitality and confidence, while retaining its historical traces. Renewal of the 12th Mine Hospital Nursing Center by YI JIAN ARCHITECTS The 12th Mine Hospital in this city was built in 1985, and as the city's coal mining industry has shrunk, this miner's hospital has remained unused. Faced with a growing elderly population in the city, the owner wanted to update the hospital into a medical and nursing care facility. The overall strategy was to let the 12th Mine Hospital to integrated into the natural park. As the history of hospital, the architect wanted to respect the layout of the existing buildings and increase their attractiveness by updating the facade and renewing the function. |
